D. João V chest of drawers, in white-painted wood, with a rectangular body structure and a wavy front with vertical breaks, typical of the 18th-century Joanine style, with three large front drawers of increasing size. The front and sides are adorned with skirts cut with stylized motifs. It rests on curved legs decorated with carved knees and ending in claw-and-ball feet. Metal hardware and cut-out mirrors.
The combination of sinuous form, plant-based decoration and quality hardware points to a refined production, likely intended for prestigious environments of the aristocratic elite.
