What defines us is not just our accumulated experience, but the way we live it: four members of the same family—two generations—who think, decide, and build a common project with clarity of purpose and intergenerational harmony.
The leadership of Miguel Arruda (father), an antiques dealer with over 40 years of experience, laid the foundation for a company that has grown in reputation and demand. Paula Arruda (mother) brought a consistent curatorial vision, expressed in her constant presence in the interiors and in the design of the exhibition spaces. The following generation contributed new tools and sensibilities: Miguel Arruda (son), with a background in management, modernized processes and professionalized practices; Ana Arruda (daughter), with an artistic flair and keen aesthetic sense, enriches the curatorial team with a sensitive and cross-disciplinary vision.
This family nucleus is supported by a close, discreet, and competent team that takes the gallery's logistical, documentary, and operational aspects seriously. They are part of the family.
More than a company, we cultivate a way of being: we enter people's lives through the pieces we rescue and recommend—objects that are not just decorative, but that define livable spaces, with memory, materiality, and meaning.

Mission
Miguel Arruda Art & Design exists to showcase, value, and reframe pieces that convey time, memory, and presence. Its purpose is to build bridges between cultural heritages and contemporary experiences, fostering a coherent coexistence between past and present.
Each object is integrated into a curatorial process that pays close attention to detail, supported by in-depth knowledge, demanding criteria, and respect for the context of origin. The gallery's work is based on clarity of processes, historical sensitivity, and attention to the relationships created between pieces, spaces, and people—always with the conviction that beauty is a form of truth.
More than simply gathering or exhibiting, the gallery proposes ways of being: environments where gesture, matter, and history interact, and where the gaze upon objects transforms into a relationship. It is believed that the pieces do not simply occupy space—they participate in, interpret, and accompany the construction of a time lived with meaning and beauty.
