Large deep bowl in Chinese porcelain from the East India Company, 18th century, known as the Service of King John VI or the Peacock Service. Decorated with rich enamels in famille rose tones, the center features a landscape with rocks, peacocks, and peonies, and the rim has a frieze of plant elements. Reign of Qianlong (1736–1795).
