Octagonal serving dish in Chinese porcelain from the East India Company, 18th century, known as the Service of King John VI or the Peacock Service. Polychrome decoration in famille rose enamels, with a central composition featuring a rockery, two peacocks, and floral branches, and a border with a plant frieze. Qianlong reign (1736–1795).
