A set of 10 Chinese porcelain soup plates from the East India Company, 18th century, known as the King John VI Service or the Peacock Service. Decorated with rich famille rose enamels, the center features a landscape with rocks, peacocks, and peonies, and the rim features a frieze of plant motifs. Qianlong reign (1736–1795).
