A Chinese porcelain gravy boat from the East India Company, 18th century, known as the Service of King John VI or the Peacock Service. Decorated with rich enamels in famille rose hues, the center features a landscape with rocks, peacocks, and peonies, and the rim features a frieze of plant motifs. Reign of Qianlong (1736–1795).
